PREPARATION OF NIGERIA’S FIRST BIENNIAL UPDATE REPORT (BUR)
EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR CONSULTANCY SERVICES
Nigeria is a party to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). Towards fulfilment of its reporting obligation under UNFCCC, Nigeria has submitted its Initial National Communication (INC) to UNFCCCC in June 2003 and its Second National Communication (SNC) to UNFCCC in 2014.
Currently, Nigeria is also engaged in the preparation of its First Biennial Update Report (BUR) which is in accordance with the decisions of the Conference of the Parties to UNFCCC. The BUR is a form of enhanced reporting, containing updates of national greenhouse gas inventories and information on mitigation actions, financial, technical needs and support received and an update to Nigeria’s Second National Communication. The first BUR will encompass information on National Circumstances, GHG Inventories, Mitigation Actions, Analysis of Constraints, Gaps, and related Financial, Technical and Capacity Needs and other related information along with information on domestic Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (MRV) arrangements as requested and to the extent possible.
The Federal Ministry of Environment in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) therefore wishes to engage consultant (s) to provide the following consultancy services:
LOT 1: FMENV/UNDP/GEF2016/EOI – MITIGATION ANALYSIS
LOT 2: FMENV/UNDP/GEF2016/EOI – GHG INVENTORY
LOT3: FMENV/UNDP/GEF2016/EOI – DOMSETIC MRV
The EOI Document should be accompanied with the following:
This bid document must be submitted not later than 15TH JULY, 2016 in sealed envelope marked “CONFIDENTIAL” on the top left corner and written: EOI “NATIONAL MITIGATION ANALYSIS FOR FIRST BUR” / EOI “NATIONAL GREEN HOUSE GAS INVENTORY FOR FIRST BUR / EOI “NATIONAL MITIGATION ANALYSIS FOR FIRST BUR”. Late submission will be rejected.
Notwithstanding the submission of tender data, the Federal Ministry of Environment is neither committed nor obligated to include your company or any bid list or award any form of contract to your company or agent.
